UK Film Premiere & birthday celebration

DONCASTER
23rd May 2024 8pm

Background and plan:
I will be coming home for just six nights in May, and I'll only be in Donny for four of those. On my second night in town, I have booked the Savoy Doncaster where I intend to show anyone I've sent this link to my new film. If you don't already know, this is my second pretty-much-no-budget feature film and so far it has been shown once, ever, in the world. It's not on streaming or physical media or anything like that and it won't be for some time.
On the 11th June, I will turn 40. So, the plan is this: make this an early birthday celebration for me and a chance to show people from home my film. In order to do this, I have had to book the cinema screen. It's £250 for the slot and I would really appreciate donations to help cover it. If I get more money than it costs, I'll put it towards getting the film shown in festivals or consider it an early birthday gift/put it towards recouping what I'm spending to get there to visit if nobody minds me doing so. I was going to do an indiegogo but they take a cut and charge fees so it's probably more cost effective all round to just ask you all for straight donations. My paypal is friedfysh@gmail.com or if you want to bank transfer me (that way there's no fees), just message me and I'll tell you the sort code and account to pay (don't worry, I still have an account in pounds). I think treating this as part paying to see the film like you would a "real" film, part helping me to keep pressing ahead with this crazy dream is the best way to look at it. There's not much point in otherwise buying me presents as I'll struggle to take them back to America anyway, and if you all offer to buy me drinks, I'd end up in hospital. Which neatly leads to the other part of the plan...
I think it would be nice if anyone who wants to (and doesn't have to work) meets in town (probably the wool market for the variety of options and vibe) for a meal about 6pm then we can head over to the cinema to watch the film, then maybe more drinks afterwards (we'll be done with the film by 10pm, it's 93 minutes long). I've got a hotel room in the town centre that night, so feel free to party till town closes if you're up for it, or come for just the film or the meal as you prefer.
The only thing is, let me know if you want to come (and if you plan to bring anyone) so I can keep my eye on the numbers. Finally, if you're really skint and want to come, but can't contribute that's fine. I get it. I'm in the same boat, just let me know and I'll put you on the guestlist.
Links/info:
The film is a horror/satire/ musical/comedy and there's violence, sex references, bad language and so on, but nothing horrific or offensive.
Treat it as a 15 rated film.
No kids, but older teenagers are fine.

UK Film REVIEW
*There is another review out there at Screen Critix - I'm not trying to hide the bad review - he hated it, gave it two stars, but what really annoyed me is it's full of plot spoilers, so please avoid that one.
